Staycation 2016: Day 10. Hatfield Forest & Relaxation

In Dogs, Entertainment, Food, Health, Health & Wellbeing, Home & Garden, Lifestyle, TV by Susan

Another lie in.  What a treat.

Smoothie for breakfast.  Hubby announced that he had been all through the cook books and couldn’t find the recipe anywhere.  I smile to myself because it is my own mix and my own recipe.  Ha ha.

I never realised just how long it takes 5 people to get organised, ready and out of the house before.  On a school, work day it is so staggered you never really notice.  Blimey we had best get ourselves into gear before school starts back or we will never be ready.

We ended up having lunch at home before going out.  We decided to go to Hatfield Forest with the dog.  Being National Trust Members it is free to park and you can walk until your heart’s content, or ride a bike or run through the woods or climb trees.  We do go here when we can, the kids love it, we love it and the dog loves it.

Hatfield Forest.

Hatfield Forest.

Not content with the exercise they had at Hatfield Forest, the hubby and the children then went out to play football down the park.  Leaving me to my own devices to do some yoga, which after the initial frustration of not being able to work the x-box to play a DVD and having to play it on my computer, was utter bliss.  I have made a metal note that I MUST meet Nadia Narain and go to one of her Yoga Classes.

As you can tell, I am also pretty much up-to-date with my ‘Staycation’ blog series – Hoorah.

For dinner:

I made my own  recipe chinese chicken with brown egg fried rice.  *I will post the recipe for this in another blog

What we are currently watching.
