The Duchess of Malfi – Behind the Scenes with Archie Bradfield

In Casting Mum, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Theatre by Susan

This last post really is a dedication to the team at The Globe.  As a Mum, all I could do was make sure that Archie was at The Globe on time for his rehearsals and for the Shows.  It was the team, cast and crew that made Archie’s experience a good one.

After he was left with his Chaperone Maria I had no clue really what he did.  So we left him with a camera of his own.  Over to him (Or should I say his photos….)

These two actors made Archie laugh so much. I lost count of the times we were scared thanks to Brendan jumping out from behind doors. I do believe Archie won in the end.

It is a strange experience seeing someone else play Archie’s Mum.  I am flattered though that they chose Archie to play Gemma Arterton and Alex Waldmann’s son!  Both are pretty much stunners aren’t they so who wouldn’t be flattered?

Totally in character

For those that missed the Duchess of Malfi in The Globe, you can catch it on DVD as it was shown on BBC4.

It has been such a fabulous experience for all involved seeing Archie perform in The Globe an absolute bonus to watch him on BBC4 as they filmed his shows.

Once again thank you to all of the cast who made Archie feel part of a family and thank you to all those backstage who helped to look after him.  Archie hopes to be back at The Globe one day so keep your eyes peeled.
